Viking boat ‘Nameisis’

The Viking barge offers trips and stories of the captain (route: Koknese castle ruins-Likteņdārzs-Koknese castle ruins). There are 19 places on the ship. 

The barge got its name from the poem ‘King Nameitis’ by Edvards Virza and a novel ‘Ring of namejs’ by Aleksandrs Grīns where the great freedom warrior of Zemgale Namejs was portrayed. Zemgalians were experts in building ships and shipping, they were also active traders. The Viking barge offers trips and stories of the captain (route: Koknese castle ruins-Likteņdārzs-Koknese castle ruins). There are 19 places on the ship.
